The Grassland Vehicle Inspection Station (VIS) and Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) buildings incorporate the vehicle inspection services of the Alberta Solicitor General and Public Security on Highway 63.

VIS
Office building for the weighing and preliminary visual inspection of commercial vehicles. The facility includes a reception counter, washrooms, interview room, general office area, meeting room and a staff room. The ceiling is constructed of glue laminated beams and pine decking to provide a contemporary, open, work environment. The VIS incorporates PERSIST (Pressure-Equalized Rain-Screen Insulated Structure Technique) building technology.

CVSA
A complex facility for the intensive inspection and safety-testing of commercial vehicles; features include a steel stair and cat-walk, lighted trench and brake-tester with a sophisticated extraction system for the ventilation of exhaust gas.
