The Edmonton Catholic Schools Facilities Services Building renovation involved a complete improvement of the second floor administrative offices and select main floor and exterior renovations including the addition of a barrier-free lift and new main entrance curtain wall. The project realizes the Clients’ desire for an open concept office, complete with flexible space such as the divisible Large Boardroom/Staff Room to accommodate variable uses such as annual meetings and seminars. The open concept is enhanced through the use of a light finishes palette and extensive use of glass partitions – including feature glass-block walls to facilitate the distribution of natural light. Rubber flooring is provided throughout to reduce foot-traffic noise. Additional amenities include a Chapel/Quiet Room and Staff Fitness Room.
